AusBiotech does not conduct clinical trials or develop products itself. It serves as Australia’s leading biotechnology industry organization, representing over 3,000 members across human health, medical devices and diagnostics, agricultural biotech, and related sectors. It provides advocacy, networking opportunities—including the flagship annual conference—and support for commercialization and growth of the life sciences sector in Australia[1][2][3].

The organization has played a key role in uniting stakeholders across academia, industry startups to multinationals, research institutes and service providers for more than 35 years[1][4].
