Auxens Médical

Auxens was a French medical technology company specializing in the development of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) devices for wound healing and dermatology. Spun off from the GREMI laboratory, a collaboration between CNRS and the University of Orléans, the company focused on translating plasma physics into clinical applications. Their flagship product, Exo-Plasma, was a portable device designed to treat chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers and pressure sores by applying ionized gas at room temperature. This technology provided a dual benefit of reducing bacterial load and stimulating tissue regeneration without damaging healthy skin. Despite achieving clinical milestones and developing a robust intellectual property portfolio, the company ceased its operations and was liquidated in 2022.
