Company intelligence / Profile preview
AventaMed developed the Solo+ Tympanostomy Tube Device (TTD), a single-use instrument that enables rapid, office-based insertion of grommets/ear tubes into the eardrum using only topical anesthesia. This innovation eliminates the need for general anesthesia and operating room time for most pediatric patients. Clinical studies have shown safe and effective use in office settings without escalation to surgery. The technology was acquired by Karl Storz in February 2023.
