AVRA Medical Robotics

AVRA Medical Robotics was a U.S.-based surgical robotics and medical device company that developed semi-autonomous and computer-integrated robotic platforms for minimally invasive and aesthetic procedures. The company described its core technology as combining imaging, target acquisition, navigation, and precision instrument guidance, with an initial commercial focus on skin resurfacing and aesthetic medicine. AVRA appears to have remained a development-stage company without marketed products or an advanced clinical pipeline prior to being acquired. In April 2023, AVRA Medical Robotics completed a merger transaction with CardioVentures and changed its corporate name to SS Innovations International, effectively ending AVRA as a standalone operating company. Historically, it served as the public-company vehicle through which SS Innovations entered the U.S. public markets.
