Axcess Medical Imaging

Axcess Medical was a medical technology company specializing in the development and manufacture of digital X-ray imaging systems and flat-panel detectors. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, the company provided digital radiography (DR) solutions that allowed healthcare providers to transition from analog film to digital imaging, enhancing diagnostic quality and workflow efficiency. Their flagship products included the Axcess line of digital detectors, which were designed for high-performance medical imaging applications. In 2007, Axcess Medical was acquired by Varian Medical Systems for $15 million to bolster Varian's X-ray Products portfolio, which later became Varex Imaging.
