Company intelligence / Profile preview
Axenis was a French biotech/CRO focused on humanized mouse models used as preclinical tools for immunology and translational biomedical research. The company developed and marketed immunocompromised mouse strains engrafted with human blood or tissue components, including Human Immune System (HIS) mice, to evaluate drug, antibody, vaccine, and immunomodulator activity in a more human-relevant in vivo setting. Its applications spanned immuno-oncology, immuno-inflammation, infectiology, vaccinology, hematopoiesis, and toxicology. Axenis originated as a spin-off from Institut Pasteur and was founded in 2010. In September 2018, genOway acquired 100% of Axenis and integrated its models and capabilities into genOway's preclinical research portfolio.
