Overview
Axon Neuroscience’s lead asset, AADvac1, is an active immunotherapy targeting pathological tau proteins. In the completed Phase II ADAMANT trial in Alzheimer’s disease, AADvac1 demonstrated a favorable safety profile and robust immune response with statistically significant slowing of neurodegeneration as measured by neurofilament light chain. Clinical benefit was most pronounced in biomarker-defined subgroups. The company has also been selected to participate in a major NIH-funded platform trial for progressive supranuclear palsy starting late 2025.
