Axya Medical

Axya Medical was a U.S.-based medical device company focused on orthopedic soft-tissue fixation systems, particularly knotless fixation systems for shoulder repair. Its products included implants, sutures, delivery tools, and related accessories designed for minimally invasive tissue approximation and fixation in shoulder procedures. The company developed technology around ultrasonic welding of sutures and polymers for surgical applications. Axya Medical was venture backed and was later acquired by Tornier, after which it operated as part of the Tornier organization. The company is no longer active as an independent standalone business.
