Overview
AyuVis received FDA clearance for its AVR-48 IND application in January 2024 and is proceeding with a Phase 1 clinical trial. The Phase 1 will be a double-blinded, placebo-controlled single ascending dose (SAD) and multiple ascending dose (MAD) study to evaluate safety and tolerability in healthy adult volunteers. Pre-clinical research has shown that AVR-48 can prevent inflammation and tissue damage, promote new lung cell growth, quiet cytokine storms, and remain effective against multi-drug resistant infections[7].
