Aza Technology is a private medical device and diagnostics company developing a rapid point-of-care blood ammonia monitoring device for patients at risk of hyperammonemia. The company's lead product, AMD, is intended to quantitatively measure ammonia in whole blood in minutes, supporting earlier diagnosis and management in pediatric and adult settings. Its technology originated from work at Stanford University and Stanford Hospital and has been positioned for both clinical and potential home-use applications.
