Azienda per i Servizi Sanitari 1 Triestina was a public healthcare organization based in Trieste, Italy, responsible for the delivery of primary and secondary health services. It operated as part of the Italian National Health Service (SSN) within the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, managing local clinics, mental health centers, and public health initiatives. The entity was particularly noted for its pioneering community-based mental health model, which gained international recognition. In 2016, it was merged with the University Hospital of Trieste to form the Azienda Sanitaria Universitaria Integrata di Trieste (ASUITs). This entity was later expanded in 2020 to become the Azienda Sanitaria Universitaria Giuliano Isontina (ASUGI), which now provides integrated healthcare across the provinces of Trieste and Gorizia.
