Company intelligence / Profile preview
b.fab has developed a process to convert CO₂ and hydrogen into value-added products such as protein (for aquafeeds), amino acids, biopolymers, lactic acid, crotonic acid, and fatty acids using synthetic biology. The most advanced product—protein for aquafeeds—is at laboratory scale with pilot-scale trials planned. Feeding trials are expected within a year of pilot production. The technology aims to provide safer and faster alternatives to existing gas fermentation methods. The company intends to license its technology primarily to feed producers in the aquaculture sector.
