BA Research International was a prominent Contract Research Organization (CRO) specializing in bioanalytical, statistical, and regulatory services for the pharmaceutical industry, particularly generic drug manufacturers. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the company was a leader in bioavailability and bioequivalence studies. In 2006, it was acquired by PRACS Institute to form Cetero Research. However, the Houston facility became the center of a major FDA scandal in 2011 involving the falsification of bioanalytical data, leading to the eventual bankruptcy and reorganization of its parent company, Cetero Research.
