Baermed Solutions is the commercial and clinical development arm of the Baermed Group, a Swiss center of excellence for abdominal medicine and regenerative therapies. The company specializes in the development of biomedical mini-organs and cell matrix implants, primarily focusing on the HEPADUA® Mini-Liver Implant for patients with chronic liver disease and cirrhosis. This technology utilizes a patented matrix carrier seeded with autologous liver and pancreas cells to restore organ function. Baermed also develops specialized matrices for anti-adhesion and hernia repair. The group integrates basic research conducted at its laboratory in Jakarta, Indonesia, with clinical practice and development based in Zurich, Switzerland.
