BAM Labs

BAM Labs is a digital health company specializing in touch-free biometric sensor technology. Founded in 2006, the company developed a platform that uses sensors placed under a mattress to monitor heart rate, breathing, and movement without direct contact with the patient. This technology was primarily marketed for use in long-term care facilities to prevent pressure ulcers and monitor patient wellness. In 2015, BAM Labs was acquired by Sleep Number (Select Comfort) to power their SleepIQ technology, which provides sleepers with data-driven insights into their sleep quality. The acquisition allowed Sleep Number to integrate advanced health monitoring into its consumer products, transitioning the company from a mattress manufacturer to a sleep health brand.
