Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre

Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) is a state-of-the-art translational research and entrepreneurship hub established in 2016 to nurture innovation in life sciences. It provides incubation facilities—including advanced instrumentation labs—for startups across healthcare/biotech/pharma/MedTech/agriculture/food/environmental biotech sectors. The centre has supported over 500 jobs created by its incubatees and facilitated the launch of more than 45 products. It offers funding support through SEED funds and acts as a bridge between early-stage investment and venture capital or bank loans. As of early 2025 it remains active despite suffering fire damage to some labs in January 2025; no casualties were reported but property losses were significant.
