Barinthus Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel T cell-mediated immunotherapies to guide the immune system to overcome chronic infectious diseases, autoimmunity, and cancer. The company utilizes its proprietary ChAdOx and MVA platforms in a prime-boost regimen to generate high-magnitude, durable T cell responses. Its lead programs include VTP-300 for chronic hepatitis B and VTP-200 for persistent high-risk HPV infections. Barinthus was originally spun out of the University of Oxford and is well-known for co-developing the technology behind the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
