Barlan Healthcare was a South African pharmaceutical company specializing in the marketing and distribution of generic medicines, over-the-counter (OTC) products, and medical devices. The company established a significant presence in the South African healthcare market by providing affordable therapeutic solutions across various categories. In 2008, Barlan was acquired by the Litha Healthcare Group, which significantly expanded its pharmaceutical division. Following subsequent corporate consolidations, the business was integrated into the broader operations of the Acino Group after Acino acquired Litha Healthcare in 2017.
