Barley Council of Canada

Barley Council of Canada was a Canadian not-for-profit industry organization representing stakeholders across the barley value chain, including growers, maltsters, brewers, feed sector participants, researchers, and grain handlers. Its work focused on barley research and varietal development, market and trade development for feed, food, and malting barley, innovation and sustainability, and policy advocacy intended to improve profitability across the sector. The organization was established in 2013 and later underwent a strategic realignment to work more closely with other barley-sector bodies such as the Canadian Malting Barley Technical Centre and the Brewing and Malting Barley Research Institute. Although it remained a legally incorporated entity, its public website states that BCC is no longer operating. It is not a biotech, pharma, or healthcare company and does not appear to have a therapeutic product pipeline.
