Company intelligence / Profile preview
Baxa Corporation was a prominent medical technology company focused on the safe preparation and administration of fluid medications within hospital and pharmacy environments. Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, the company developed industry-leading pharmacy automation systems, including the ExactaMix Automated Compounding System and the Repeater Pump. These technologies were designed to minimize medication errors, enhance workflow efficiency, and ensure the sterile preparation of intravenous and oral doses. In November 2011, Baxa was acquired by Baxter International for $380 million to bolster Baxter's global leadership in medication delivery and clinical nutrition. Today, many of Baxa's legacy products continue to be marketed under the Baxter brand.
