Company intelligence / Profile preview
Bay Area Regional Medical Center was a 191-bed acute care hospital located in Webster, Texas, serving the greater Houston and Clear Lake regions. Opened in 2014, the facility offered a comprehensive suite of services including emergency medicine, cardiac care, oncology, and robotic-assisted surgery. The hospital was recognized for its state-of-the-art technology and modern patient-centered design. In May 2018, the center unexpectedly ceased all operations and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Following its closure, the hospital's physical assets and facility were acquired by the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health). The site now functions as a primary campus for UTMB's clinical operations in the Bay Area.
