Company intelligence / Profile preview
BB200, LLC is a biotechnology company and a subsidiary of Bravos Biosciences, focused on the development of monoclonal antibody (mAb) therapies for serious, antibiotic-resistant infectious diseases. The company was established to advance the ASN300 program, which it licensed from Arsanis, Inc. in 2018. Its lead candidate, also designated as BB200 (formerly ASN-5), is a monoclonal antibody targeting the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) O-antigen of Gram-negative Klebsiella pneumoniae. The therapy aims to provide a non-antibiotic approach to treating multi-drug resistant infections through a three-fold mechanism of action involving direct complement-mediated bactericidal activity, opsonophagocytosis, and LPS neutralization. BB200 is managed by a team of anti-infective experts from the Institute for Clinical Pharmacodynamics (ICPD).
