BC Medical Innovations Fund (BCMIF) is a venture capital fund based in Vancouver, British Columbia, that specializes in early-stage investments within the life sciences and healthcare sectors. Established as a labour-sponsored venture capital corporation (EVCC), the fund was designed to support the growth of the biomedical industry in British Columbia by providing equity financing to innovative companies. Historically managed by MDS Capital Corp (now Lumira Ventures) and later transferred to Impax Capital in 2005, BCMIF has invested in various biotech and medical device firms, including Inimex Pharmaceuticals and Adnavance Technologies.
