BCLS Acquisition Corporation

BCLS Acquisition was a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company formed to identify and merge with a business in the healthcare or healthcare-related industries. The company was sponsored by BCLS Acquisition Holdings, an affiliate of Bain Capital Life Sciences, and stated that it intended to focus on biopharmaceutical, specialty pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics, and enabling life science technology companies. It completed its IPO on Nasdaq in October 2020 under the ticker BLSA. BCLS Acquisition did not announce a business combination and ultimately liquidated in October 2022, redeeming its public shares. As a SPAC, it did not itself develop therapeutics, operate a drug pipeline, or provide healthcare products or services.
