Beauty of Sight, formerly Florida Lions Eye Bank, is a Florida-based nonprofit eye bank and ophthalmic services organization focused on restoring sight and preventing blindness. The organization recovers, processes, and distributes ocular tissue for corneal transplants and other sight-saving eye surgeries, supports ophthalmic research and training, and operates an ocular pathology laboratory. It also prepares autologous serum eye drops for patients with ocular surface disease and has reported innovation efforts including patented medical devices and research programs aimed at new ocular treatments. Founded in the early 1960s in partnership with Lions Clubs of Florida and the University of Miami, it is the first eye bank established in Florida and remains EBAA-accredited. The organization operates closely with the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami and serves patients, surgeons, researchers, and donor families.
