Overview
Beckley Canopy Therapeutics was a UK-based biopharmaceutical joint venture formed in January 2018 by Beckley Research & Innovations and Canopy Growth Corporation. The company focused on researching and developing clinically validated, pharmaceutical-quality cannabis-based medicines and cannabinoid formulations. Its research pipeline targeted significant medical needs, including cancer pain, opioid sparing, addiction, and smoking cessation. In October 2019, Canopy Growth completed the acquisition of Beckley Canopy Therapeutics, fully integrating its research platform and intellectual property into Canopy's medical division, Spectrum Therapeutics.
