Beijing Biological Products Research Institute (BBPI) is a prominent Chinese biopharmaceutical company and a core subsidiary of China National Biotec Group (CNBG), which is part of the state-owned Sinopharm. Established in 1919, it is one of the oldest and most significant centers for vaccine research and production in China. The institute is globally recognized for developing the BBIBP-CorV inactivated COVID-19 vaccine, which was among the first to receive World Health Organization Emergency Use Listing.
