Beijing Huayi Shennong Pharmaceutical Technology is a Chinese biotechnology company specializing in the research and development of innovative drugs derived from natural products and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Founded in 2004 by Professor Tu Pengfei of Peking University, the company focuses on therapeutic areas including neurology, gastroenterology, and oncology. Its lead program, Cistanche Runtong Oral Liquid, is currently in Phase 3 clinical trials for the treatment of functional constipation in partnership with Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical. The company is also recognized for developing the National Class II New Drug, Cistanche tubulosa total phenylethanoid glycosides (Memoregain), which is used for neuroprotection and memory enhancement. Beijing Huayi Shennong maintains a strong academic collaboration with the Peking University Health Science Center to advance its pipeline of herbal-derived small molecules.
