Overview

BELKIN Vision developed the Eagle DSLT system, an automated, non-contact laser device for treating glaucoma. The system delivers laser pulses to the trabecular meshwork using proprietary eye-tracking for accuracy and does not require a gonio lens or manual aiming. It has been approved and commercialized in the EU and UK and received FDA clearance in late 2023. Clinical studies have shown that SLT approaches can be cost-effective first-line treatments for open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension with improved long-term disease control compared to drops. The company was acquired by Alcon in July 2024.
