Bellco Drug

Bellco Drug was a leading independent pharmaceutical wholesaler and distributor based in Amityville, New York. The company specialized in the distribution of brand-name and generic pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter medications, and health and beauty aids to independent pharmacies, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. Serving primarily the New York metropolitan area and the broader Northeast, Bellco was a significant regional player in the pharmaceutical supply chain. In 2007, its parent company, Bellco Health, was acquired by AmerisourceBergen (now Cencora) for approximately $250 million. This acquisition allowed AmerisourceBergen to expand its market share among independent pharmacies in a high-density region.
