Company intelligence / Profile preview
BeneChill developed the RhinoChill IntraNasal Cooling System, a portable medical device for rapid induction of therapeutic hypothermia via intranasal delivery. The system was designed to improve neurologically intact survival after cardiac arrest and other acute ischemic events by enabling early brain cooling. It received CE Mark approval for use in Europe and was used both pre-hospital and hospital settings. Clinical studies included the PRINCE trial and others demonstrating feasibility and potential benefit. The company raised over $40M across several funding rounds but did not complete its planned IPO. In late 2016, it was acquired by Swedish medtech company BrainCool AB.
