Berkeley Biotechnology Education

Biotech Partners (formerly Berkeley Biotechnology Education, Inc.) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive biotechnology education and job training to underrepresented students in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1993 through a landmark development agreement between the City of Berkeley and Bayer, the organization operates a "school-to-career" model that integrates specialized high school curricula with paid industry internships. The program serves students at Berkeley High School, Oakland Technical High School, and other regional sites, offering a pathway to technical roles in the life sciences industry. With a 100% high school graduation rate among its participants, Biotech Partners has successfully placed thousands of students in internships and co-op positions with major biotech firms.
