BGEO Group was a UK-listed investment holding company that served as the parent for a diversified group of businesses in Georgia, with a significant focus on the healthcare sector. Through its subsidiary, Georgia Healthcare Group (GHG), it operated the largest network of hospitals and clinics in Georgia, alongside a major pharmacy retail chain and a medical insurance provider. The group's vertically integrated healthcare model allowed it to dominate the Georgian market, offering services ranging from primary care to complex tertiary treatments. In 2018, BGEO Group completed a strategic demerger, splitting its banking operations from its investment and healthcare assets, which were subsequently managed by Georgia Capital PLC. This restructuring aimed to provide investors with clearer access to the distinct growth profiles of the banking and non-banking sectors in the region.
