Bharti Healthcare (now operating as Capsugel Healthcare Private Limited) is a prominent Indian manufacturer of empty hard gelatin capsules and advanced drug delivery systems. Originally founded in 1982 as part of the Bharti Group, the company operates a major manufacturing facility in Dharuhera, Haryana, producing preservative-free and encephalopathy-free capsules for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors. In 2005, the company was acquired by Capsugel, then a division of Pfizer, for approximately Rs 88 crore, marking Capsugel's entry into the Indian market. Following Capsugel's acquisition by Lonza in 2017 and the subsequent sale of Lonza's Capsules & Health Ingredients business to Lone Star Funds in 2024, the company continues to serve as a key global supplier of high-quality capsule shells and encapsulation technologies.
