The flagship product, the Bigfoot Unity Diabetes Management System, integrates smart insulin pen caps with continuous glucose monitoring data from Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre sensors. Real-world studies show significant improvement in glycemic control among people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes using multiple daily injections. The system provides real-time dose recommendations based on healthcare provider instructions and CGM data. The closed-loop “Autonomy” program received FDA Breakthrough Device designation but was not yet commercialized at time of acquisition. Six-month real-world data showed a reduction in mean A1C from ~8.4% to ~7.3% in users.
