Company intelligence / Profile preview
Bigmar, Inc. was a generic pharmaceutical company founded in 1995 by John Tramontana and based in Johnstown, Ohio, with primary operations conducted through its European subsidiaries, including Bioren SA and Bigmar Pharmaceuticals SA. The company specialized in the manufacturing and marketing of generic oncology products (such as calcium leucovorin, methotrexate, doxorubicin, and cisplatin) and intravenous infusion solutions. Bigmar's products were distributed across the United States, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Greece, and Spain. Following severe financial difficulties, internal board control disputes, and the revocation of its SEC registration in 2004, the company was liquidated, and its Swiss subsidiary Bioren SA was acquired by Sintetica SA in 2005.
