Bilfinger Berger Project Investments was the infrastructure investment and concessions arm of the German engineering group Bilfinger SE. The company specialized in the development, financing, and long-term management of public infrastructure projects through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) models. While not a life sciences or biotechnology company, it was a major developer of healthcare infrastructure, responsible for the construction and operational management of numerous hospitals and clinical facilities globally. In 2011, the division's portfolio was spun off and listed as Bilfinger Berger Global Infrastructure (now BBGI Global Infrastructure), an independent investment firm.
