Bio Fund

Bio Fund Management was a prominent Finnish venture capital firm specializing in the life sciences, biotechnology, and medical technology sectors. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Helsinki, the firm played a significant role in the Nordic biotech ecosystem, managing several funds with a total value of approximately €200 million. Its investment portfolio included notable companies such as FibroGen, Egalet, and Inion, focusing on early-stage opportunities in drug development, diagnostics, and medical devices. In 2008, the company was acquired by the Danish investment group Capinordic A/S, and its operations were later integrated into other entities, effectively closing its independent activities.
