Bio-Pharm was a U.S.-based generic pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter drug company focused on development and manufacturing rather than novel therapeutic discovery. The company specialized in oral solutions, suspensions, and suppositories, and operated a 75,000-square-foot US FDA-registered manufacturing facility in Levittown, Pennsylvania. At the time of its acquisition, Bio-Pharm had approved abbreviated new drug applications and additional filings under FDA review, indicating an established commercial generics pipeline. The business was acquired by Torrent Pharmaceuticals in January 2018 to expand Torrent's U.S. manufacturing, R&D, and dosage-form capabilities.
