BIO Ventures for Global Health

BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH) is a Seattle-based non-profit organization that operates at the intersection of the biopharmaceutical industry and global health. Founded in 2004, BVGH facilitates cross-sector partnerships to accelerate the development of medicines, vaccines, and diagnostics for neglected tropical diseases, infectious diseases, and cancer. The organization is well-known for managing the African Access Initiative (AAI), which expands access to oncology treatments and strengthens clinical research capacity across Africa. Additionally, BVGH has played a pivotal role in WIPO Re:Search, a consortium that shares intellectual property to advance R&D for diseases of poverty. By leveraging private sector resources and expertise, BVGH aims to solve global health challenges through sustainable, collaborative innovation and capacity building.
