BioApp is a South Korean biotechnology company specializing in the development and manufacture of "green vaccines" using plant-based protein expression systems. The company utilizes its proprietary Meditree platform to produce recombinant proteins in plants, offering a safer and more cost-effective alternative to traditional animal cell-based production. BioApp successfully commercialized the world's first plant-produced vaccine for Classical Swine Fever (CSF), known as Herbavac.
