Biofusion

Biofusion was a prominent UK-based university intellectual property (IP) commercialization company that specialized in the creation and development of life science businesses. Founded in 2002, the company established exclusive long-term partnerships with leading academic institutions, most notably the University of Sheffield and Cardiff University, to identify and spin out high-potential biotechnology and medical technology ventures. Its portfolio included a diverse range of companies focused on areas such as regenerative medicine, endocrinology, and drug discovery. Biofusion was listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market before being acquired by IP Group in 2009. The acquisition integrated Biofusion's extensive life science portfolio into IP Group's broader commercialization platform.
