BioHouston

BioHouston, Inc. is a non-profit [501(c)(3)] organization founded in 2001 by Houston-region academic and research institutions to position the Houston region as a global leader in life science and biotechnology commercialization. It focuses on convening stakeholders—such as scientists, IP experts, venture capitalists, and pharma companies—to stimulate technology transfer and economic growth in the local life sciences sector. The organization provides networking opportunities, events, resources for members, and fosters collaboration across startups and established organizations to drive advancements in medicine and job creation. It does not conduct clinical trials or have its own therapeutic pipeline. Ann Tanabe serves as CEO. The group also partners with BIO Business Solutions to offer business services to its members.
