Company intelligence / Profile preview
Biomodex was a private medtech and digital health company based in Paris and Quincy, Massachusetts that developed patient-specific 3D-printed anatomical models and procedure rehearsal systems for physician training and pre-operative planning. Its products combined tissue-like haptics, simulated blood flow, and ultrasound-compatible imaging properties to support neurovascular, cardiovascular, and other image-guided interventional procedures. The company commercialized product lines including EVIAS for neurovascular simulation and LAACS for structural heart applications, and built proprietary enabling technologies such as INVIVOTECH, ECHOTECH, BLOODSIM, and Thrombotech. In December 2023, Mentice announced an agreement to acquire substantially all Biomodex assets following Biomodex's decision to dissolve operations, and Biomodex now presents itself as part of Mentice AB. As a result, Biomodex should be viewed as an acquired medtech platform business rather than an independent operating biotech or therapeutic developer.
