Company intelligence / Profile preview
Bioniche Therapeutics was the human health division of Bioniche Life Sciences, a Canadian biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of proprietary technologies for the human and animal health markets. The company's lead human health product was MCNA (Mycobacterial Cell Wall-Nucleic Acid Complex), a biologic therapy developed for the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer in patients who failed BCG therapy. Following a strategic shift to focus exclusively on human therapeutics, the company sold its animal health business to Zoetis in 2014 and rebranded as Telesta Therapeutics. Telesta was subsequently acquired by Prometic Life Sciences (now Liminal BioSciences) in 2016.
