BioNucleon

Bionucleon was an Italian biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of oligonucleotide-based ligands, specifically aptamers, for anti-cancer therapies. The company's lead program, BN210, was a modified oligonucleotide designed to inhibit the pro-angiogenic activity of Hepatoma-derived growth factor-related protein 3 (HDGFRP3), showing promise in neuroblastoma models. Bionucleon also developed a proprietary technology for screening new synthetic aptamers and provided high-quality peptide nucleic acid (PNA) and chimeric oligonucleotides. Headquartered in the BioIndustry Park Silvano Fumero in Italy, the company was part of the Eporgen Venture portfolio before ceasing operations around 2016.
