The company's core technology, the SimCell platform, utilized micro-bioreactors to automate high-throughput screening and process development, allowing for the rapid identification of optimal cell lines and growth conditions. By miniaturizing the bioprocessing environment, BioProcessors enabled significant cost savings and accelerated timelines for drug manufacturing. The company was acquired by Seahorse Bioscience in 2009, integrating its bioprocessing tools with Seahorse's metabolic monitoring systems.
