Biotech Investissement Group is a French life science holding company and operating group focused on antibody engineering, molecular biology, and biomanufacturing services for research, preclinical, clinical, and diagnostic applications. The group was created in 2012 around RD-Biotech and later developed the mAbexperts brand while building capabilities through stakes in companies such as SynAbs, QVQ, and Smaltis. Its operating activities center on custom monoclonal and recombinant antibody development, recombinant proteins, plasmid DNA, RNA, cell-based services, and associated analytical and bioassay support. Following the 2021 sale of Diaclone to Medix Biochemica, the group appears to have sharpened its focus on biomanufacturing and molecular engineering services rather than proprietary therapeutic drug development.
