BioTech Medical Management Association

The Biotech Medical Management Association (BMMA) was a professional educational organization based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that served managed care medical and pharmacy directors. Active primarily during the late 1990s and early 2000s, the association focused on the clinical, financial, and administrative challenges posed by the emergence of innovative biologic therapies. BMMA provided a platform for discussing specialty pharmacy services, reimbursement strategies, and the integration of biotechnology products into healthcare benefit designs. The organization was led by Executive Director Mark G. Fuller, MD, and played a role in educating payers on the impact of biopharmaceuticals on the healthcare system.
