BioTechnical Institute of Maryland

The BioTechnical Institute of Maryland (BTI) is a non-profit workforce development organization based in Baltimore, Maryland, dedicated to providing tuition-free laboratory training. Founded in 1998, BTI serves the regional life sciences industry by preparing underemployed and unemployed residents for careers as laboratory technicians. The institute's curriculum features the BioSTART and Laboratory Associates programs, which provide hands-on instruction in molecular biology, microbiology, and chemical safety.
